About the tracker

What we track: Product Liability Lawsuit Update follows defective product lawsuits and nothing else. Each month we report where the big cases stand, how claims move through court and which law firms handle them.
Sources we use: We build each update from court dockets, agency records from the FDA, CPSC and NHTSA, news coverage and the law firms' own sites. Links to every source sit on the page, next to the date we last reviewed it. Our editors set the firm order on each page. The tables list each firm's court posts and reported wins so you can judge for yourself.
Fixes: Spot an error or an outdated number? Write to editor@productliabilitylawsuitupdate.com. We go back to the source and update the page.
Information, not advice: Our updates are general information only. Reading them is not legal advice, and it does not make you anyone's client. Filing deadlines change from state to state and case to case. A lawyer can tell you which one applies to you.
Privacy and your data: When you send the case check form, your name, contact details and message go to the law firm that reviews cases for this site. Its staff use them to follow up on your case. We never sell them. We run no advertising cookies here.
